THE INITIATIVE

About this initiative

The Creator Academy is a collaborative initiative involving Government of Andhra Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC), Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam, YouTube and Tezaract.

The purpose of the initiative is to establish and operate a Creator Academy in Andhra Pradesh focused on training, skilling and capacity building in creative media, digital content and Artificial Intelligence-based programs.

The content for training in the Creator Academy is proposed to be developed in association with YouTube, with training collaborations for advanced AI and digital skill-based courses facilitated through Google-related agreements.

Training programs under the Creator Academy may include creative media production, digital content creation, Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies.

The Foundation Course is the first learning program under this initiative. It introduces learners to storytelling, production, editing, audience understanding, responsible AI use, monetisation awareness, legal foundations and professional presentation.

The Foundation Course is part of the Creator Academy, in collaboration with Government of Andhra Pradesh, YouTube, APSSDC, IIM Visakhapatnam and Tezaract, with Curriculum Review and Academic Quality Assurance Support from IIM Visakhapatnam.

How the ecosystem comes together

The Creator Academy brings together public, academic, platform and creative-industry participation through the agreement-level collaboration between Government of Andhra Pradesh, APSSDC, YouTube, IIM Visakhapatnam and Tezaract.

The initiative is focused on training, skilling and capacity building in creative media, digital content and Artificial Intelligence-based programs.
